It's been so long we dont update this blog.
as you can see, in Jakarta's Ramadhan month for our moslem's friends are concentrating on fasting. But since we are crazy about taiko, in fasting time YES we're still practicing taiko esp Bon Taiko.

So our sensei Takako sensei playback over and over the 'Tokyo Ondo' song and let us and teach us directly how to hit taiko style of Bon Daiko. For me,it's quite hard thought...it's hard to catch up the beat *poor juniorsss ha ha ha*

Anyway, September passed..on October we practive like usuall, and starting November we have some performances.

1st November 2008
For our senpai-tachi , the purple happi
they play in Jakarta Japan International Expo 50th years in PRJ. In there they play on the opening of the expo which our Indonesian President,Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono are there too. He even open the ceremony with hitting one of our taiko. It's been a very amazing experience and honour to us.

At noon, we all the members are playing in the opening of Japanese FOod Festival in Mall Taman Anggrek (so yeah..2 shows in one day!!! )
started at 2.00pm :)

Again, we have oportunities to play in Jakarta Indonesia Japan Expo 2008 - PRJ. This time, we all have oportunitties in playing in the indoor field. In the flyer they called us Tokyo Taiko Show ^_^'

Personal side
as i really love taiko and i cant missed any oportunitties to see taiko performance directly as live from Japan. SO myself, waiting to see Hon-O-Daiko in that festival.. Gowd...those 3 ladies are so awsome!! my fave one is Yamada Mizue. Her androgynous look,and jrock harido is really awsome!!! Of course their style is so different with us, the Sukeroku style but anyway it's open our 'eyes' to see another taiko performance stlyle. I'm still remember couple months ago, i watch japanese taiko performace from Japan too...they called Geishou Wadaiko, ad they rockin' too.
actually, it's hard for me to search in website about the japanese tako club, yeah~~ poor my japanese :(
but just like my motto ::no one in this earth can stop me playing taiko:: (even i kindda force myself to perform and then collapse after that in 8th nov performance)

On this fasting month,
our Taiko's practices were only Bon Taiko (Bon Odori's Taiko)
which turned-out to be fun!!

Now we're on vacation, we'll start our practices again on 12th Oct 2008.

Unfortunately, the weather was really unfriendly... That's why, we didn't do any Bon Odori (Yosakoi Soran & Taiko only), and the performances took longer than we expected. But anyway~ the show must go on, rite!!

JTC had performance but this time,only the senpai's (senior) who perform.
I (the writers) didnt really know what the show is (since i still rehearse Yosakoi)

We were performing Yosakoi Soran on 27th July 2008.
It was so honour to perform because we perform at 50th years Indonesia Japan Friendship Festival, a prestigious festival.

Not only we have chance to perform Yosakoi Soran, but we finally can watch the original Oedo Sukeroku Taiko professional player there.

Thanks to Takako sensei who make all these things happen. Even we were so tired coz we're not a dancer and we have limited time to practice. So eventually we are forcing ourselves to practive Yosakoi Soran for only 2 months, with practice for almost 6 hours at a time.
